UN sanctions screening
A separate check, kept separate.
Screen individuals and entities against the UN sanctions list. Run it alone or alongside PIP — the two checks stay distinct, and each answers for itself.
What a sanctions screen does
An answer that says when it was true.
- Searches the UN sanctions list for individuals and entities.
- Records the dataset version and when it was retrieved, so the result can be read years later.
- Returns Match, Possible match, or Nothing found — never blended with the PIP answer.
- Issues its own certificate, alone or beside a PIP screen.

One search · both lists · a certificate for each · illustrative specimen, fictional person and result
Why it stays separate
One search may cover both lists. One answer never does.
Two questions, two answers
Sanctioned, and prominent or influential, are different findings with different consequences. Merging them would lose both.
Neither result cancels the other
Nothing found on sanctions says nothing about PIP, and the reverse. Each stands on its own evidence.
The dataset is named
An answer is only as current as the list behind it, so the result names the version.
Nothing found is a scoped negative finding, not clearance: it reports what the named dataset held at the time of the search, against the identity you submitted.
Screening you can put in front of a regulator.
